MEET OUR WOMEN’S DIRECTOR

Laurie Munden is co-founder and Women’s Director of 99Behind. She served on staff with Cru, a discipleship ministry, for 17 years and has been trained in Biblical Counseling. She has served on several church’s leadership teams in prayer ministry, children’s ministry, and mentorship. Laurie is the wife of her high school sweetheart, Mark, the mother of 6 grown kids, the doting grandmother to 3 grandkids and a foster grandbaby. She is a lover of early morning solitude with her Savior, her Bible and a cup of coffee. She cherishes one-on-one time with women listening to their heart.

Women are precious to God. We were created in His image to bear His image (Gen 1:27). He loves us with an everlasting love (Jer 31:3). He rejoices over us with singing. (Zeph 3:17). He is for us, not against us (Rom 8:31).

Often we live our lives wondering if these things are really true. Maybe your view of God is not quite accurate based on past experiences and wounds. Maybe you are not able to trust Him fully. Maybe you do not feel good enough to be loved by Him.

The enemy has been leading women astray, lying to them and making them doubt God’s heart for them ever since the Garden (Gen 3). God’s Word is full of God’s truths of who we are as women.

Truths such as:

• I am a child of God. Rom 8:16
• I am saved by grace through faith. Eph 2:8
• I am a brand new creature. 2 Cor 5:17
• I am kept in safety wherever I go, angels watch over me. Ps 91:11
• I can doing all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13
• I am justified – just as if I had never sinned. Rom 5:1
• I am strong in the Lord and strong in the power of His might. Eph. 6:10
• I am more than a conqueror. Rom 8:37

Women need each other. We need each other to help us stand against the enemy who is a defeated foe. John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy: I (Jesus) came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” You can experience that abundant life! We need sisters who can rejoice with us, pray for us, encourage us and who are willing to love us enough to not let us stay “stuck”.

99 Behind seeks to go after the lost sheep (Luke 15) and help connect them to the heart of God.  The shepherd left the 99 to go after the one lost sheep…because that one matters. You matter. We offer one-on-one customized spiritual training that moves women closer to the heart of God and His purpose for their lives.
